HI-Whistler is ready to welcome you and your bike. Our storage room is equipped to store bikes securely with 24 hour surveillance. We also have a bike wash!

So here's what you need to know about Biking in Whistler:

Whistler Bike Park:
The Whistler Mountain Bike Park is considered the No.1 lift accessed downhill bike park in the world. It offers 4,900 vertical feet on over 200km of lift-serviced descending trails for thrill seekers of all levels. The world-class Bike Park trail crew is constantly setting new boundaries with its design innovation, including the John Cowan-designed Boneyard Slopestyle course.

Cross country:
There are a mind-boggling selection of cross country rides, from rugged forest trails and single track to smooth logging roads and gravel paths - options are available for every level of rider. With over 250kms of World class riding on over 60+ maintained trails, make sure you pack water, snacks, maps and tools for trailside repairs. For ideas check out Tourism Whistler's trail map >>

Road riding:
Long recognized as a mecca for mountain biking, an increasing amount of road cyclists are discovering the beautiful riding in the Whistler area. Experience the intensely scenic 120km ride from Vancouver to Whistler which provides a challenge with over 2,000 meters of climbing from sea level to the mountains, and winds through five distinct biogeoclimatic zones. Recent highway upgrades to the Sea to Sky Highway and beyond have improved cyclist's safety and provide a smooth tarmac on which to ride. Check out Tourism Whistler guide for some inspiration! >>

Sea to Sky trail:
Fancy going more off-road? The Sea to Sky trail connects Squamish to D'Arcy. This non-motorized, multi-use trail is optimized for mountain bikes and is an exceptional long distance riding experience in the natural beauty and amongst the history of the Sea to Sky corridor. After Brandywine Falls and the Cal-Cheak Recreation Site the trial leads you to the HI-Whistler's doorstep; the perfect overnight rest and refuel before you can continue your journey pass the famous mountains of Whistler and Blackcomb onto the valley of Pemberton.

Rentals & Tune-ups:
Whistler is packed full of shops that rent and tune bikes from the cruise the valley trail all the way up to gnarly downhill. Question is; which one should you use? A bad rental set up or tune can lead to a very bad day on your bike. HI-Whistler's done the leg work for you and found the best in Whistler. Our partners at Summit Sports will set you up with the right gear, set up the right way, or help you get your own gear ready for the trails. HI Members save big time with Summit Sport, and you can ride easy knowing that your equipment has been set up by someone who actually knows what they're doing.

WORCA:
Whistler Off Road Cycling Association has evolved over the years to become an integral part of Whistler and now serves a community of more than 2,000 members. By working with government, landowners and developers, WORCA continues to ensure mountain bike trail access and maintain hundreds of kilometers of trails to the highest environmental standards. The Toonie Ride series:
Every Thursday, for 20 weeks of the summer, WORCA hosts Thursday night Toonie Rides with the sponsorship of local businesses and organizations. The rides cost $2 and are a great way to explore the trails, get a bit of exercise, and socialize with other bikes (with a little bit of friendly competition). The Phat/PhaSt Wednesday DH series:
Ever-popular Downhill race series, complete with an awesome aprés at the Garibaldi Lift Company and tonnes of prizing from Bike Park sponsors. Phat Wednesdays rock. There are also 3 bonus PhaSt Wednesdays that put riders to the test on more challenging terrain. Registration is $2. Events are capped @ 200 racers so arrive early! All riders must also have a bike park pass or ticket.
Discounted tickets are available for $15 at Guest Relations.
