Why Whistlers reputation precedes it's self!

Snow Season
It's all about the snow up at Whistler.

HI-Whistler is ready to welcome you and your skis and boards. Our ski storage room is equipped with the SKI KEY locking system and we've set up a tuning station for those DIY'ers out there.

So here's what you need to know about skiing or snowboarding in Whistler:

Lift Tickets:
Depending on how long you're staying in Whistler, there are a lot of different lift ticket options. With so many choices, your best bet is to check out the rates on Whistler Blackcomb's web site for the full ticketing options. Generally the earlier you book your lift passes, the more you save. Make sure you also check our Stay and Ski Packages. Canadians and residents of Washington State ? make sure you check out the Edge Card for great rates!

Rentals & Tune-ups:
Whistler is packed full of shops that rent and tune ski and snowboard equipment ? question is, which one should you use? A bad rental set up or tune can lead to a very bad day on the hill.

HI-Whistler's done the leg work for you and found the best in Whistler. Our partners at Summit Sports will set you up with the right gear, in the right way, and all with the best service in town. HI Members save big time with Summit Sport, and you can ride easy knowing that your equipment has been set up by someone who actually knows what they're doing.

Go to http://www.summitsport.com/hiwhistler for more details and to book your rental package.

Lessons:
If you've never clipped in skis or strapped on a board before ? or even if you've been skiing or riding for a while,  a lesson will vastly improve your ski experience. Whistler Blackcomb offers lessons for every level, from those who are just learning to ski, to those wanting to fine tune their mogul techniques. Full and half day programs are available. Check out Whistler Blackcomb for more information on prices, and to make your booking.

Get to the Hill:

Jump on the BC Transit Wave bus #1 to Creekside right outside the hostel and get dropped off at the Creekside Gondola to Whistler Blackcomb. No need to fight the hordes in the Village and no need to find parking! Make sure you get your bus tickets or day passes from the front desk before you head out.

After the hill:
Located right at the base in Creekside, you can kick back and enjoy Dusty's Bar & BBQ famous pulled pork sandwiches and some well-earned après. You don't need to wait until the end of the day to head to Whistler's Original Watering Hole! You can also grab a quesadilla and a cold beer from Cheaky's Cafe right in the hostel lobby!
