From February 12 to 28 and March 12 to 21, 2010, the cities of Vancouver and Whistler will play host to thousands of Olympians and spectators alike.  Hostelling International can't wait to welcome visitors from around the world affordably and with great hospitality and service.

Hostelling International (HI) operates three hostels in Vancouver and one in Whistler.  Reservations for all four hostels opened on October 1, 2008 on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Reservation Policies

The following policies are in effect  for HI-Vancouver Central, HI-Vancouver Downtown, HI-Vancouver Jericho Beach and HI-Whistler from February 12 to 27, 2010:

Reservations

• Full payment will be charged to the credit card upon receipt of reservation.
• The person who made the reservation must be a member of the party for which the reservation was made.  He/she must also be physically present at time of check-in.
• To reserve, please contact Central Reservations at 1.866.762.4122 or book online.
  
• Availability is still widely available before February 12 and after February 27, 2010.  Book online or please call our reservations office at 1.866.762.4122.

Cancellations

• Members cancelling their reservation prior to December 31, 2009 are entitled to a 50% refund.
• No refunds will be issued for cancellations occurring after December 31, 2009.

Eligibility

• Reservations are available to Canadian and International Hostelling International or YHA members only.  Every guest must be a valid member both when you reserve and at time of check-in.
• What does this mean?  Even if you're a member when you make your reservation but no longer a member when you check-in for your reservation, you will be asked to purchase a membership.
  
• As part of its mission, Hostelling International provides tourist accommodation and as such, our hostels do not accommodate local residents.  That means that Vancouver and Lower Mainland residents can't stay at the Vancouver hostels and Whistler residents can't stay at the Whistler hostel. At check-in, you'll be required to present valid government-issued photo ID.

Travel Trade and Group Bookings

• Sorry, third-party (travel trade) bookings will not be permitted for this period. Group bookings will be considered for HI-Vancouver Jericho Beach. Please email us for more information.
  

Hostel Rates

• The following are the starting from rates for the period of February 5, 2010 to March 2, 2010. Rates posted are in Canadian dollars and include all applicable taxes.
